A growing Milwaukee-based manufacturing company is seeking an HR Coordinator to support the Human Resources team within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role will support a diverse employee population including skilled trades professionals, welders, fabricators, assemblers, maintenance technicians, production employees, engineers, drafters, and office professionals. The HR Coordinator will play an important role in supporting recruiting efforts, employee relations, onboarding, workforce reporting, and day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
HR Documentation and Employee Support
- Draft, format, and maintain HR documents, reports, presentations, and communications
- Maintain employee records, HR templates, onboarding documentation, and personnel files
- Assist with employee communications and HR process coordination
- Prepare HR reports and leadership support materials
Workforce Data and Reporting
- Maintain workforce data including headcount, hires, terminations, conversions, and staffing metrics
- Assist with HR reporting, workforce analytics, and KPI tracking
- Support workforce planning initiatives and organizational reporting efforts
- Help maintain accurate HR data and reporting systems
Recruitment and Onboarding Coordination
- Coordinate job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
- Support recruiting efforts for skilled trades employees, manufacturing personnel, engineers, drafters, and office staff
- Track temporary employee conversion eligibility and workforce status updates
- Support recruiting and hiring process administration
Compliance and HR Administration
- Assist with maintaining compliance with HR policies and employment regulations
- Support benefits administration and leave tracking
- Maintain employee relations documentation and confidential records
- Assist with HR audits and compliance-related activities
Project and Process Support
- Coordinate HR projects, initiatives, and reporting efforts
- Support process improvement initiatives within HR operations
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Leadership teams as needed
- Assist with development and organization of HR procedures and workflows
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred:
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Experience supporting skilled trades or industrial recruiting preferred
- HRIS experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
- Experience supporting high-growth organizations preferred
- Bilingual Spanish communication skills are a plus

Reporting to the Controller, this role will lead a small team responsible for timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance, and system efficiency.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for over 1,200 hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
• Supervise and mentor a team of payroll specialists
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and wage laws
• Partner with accounting and HR on benefits deductions, garnishments, and reporting
• Review and approve payroll reports prior to processing
• Assist in ERP or payroll system upgrades and data integrity checks
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, or deductions
Qualifications
• 5+ years of payroll management experience, ideally within a manufacturing or multi-site environment
