Quality Assurance Supervisor – Manufacturing
Location: Wausau, WI

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor with strong leadership experience to oversee QA and laboratory operations in a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with BRC, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and customer requirements while maintaining product quality from raw materials through finished goods.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, and develop QA Technicians and Laboratory staff
- Oversee all quality system functions in compliance with BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standard for Food Safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) requirements
- Lead internal audits, coordinate external/customer audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Review and approve COAs (Certificates of Analysis), batch records, and lab test results for conformance to specifications
- Manage calibration and verification of monitoring and measuring devices (pH meters, scales, thermometers, etc.)
- Develop and implement testing procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods including microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis
- Investigate non-conformances (NCRs), perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Maintain and update the Quality Manual, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOPs (Sanitation SOPs), and other controlled documents
- Conduct quality training for plant personnel, ensuring alignment with HACCP plans, allergen control, and sanitation programs
- Communicate quality metrics, trends, and performance results to management and cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–3 years in a Quality Assurance role; food or dairy manufacturing QA experience strongly preferred
- Supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOPs, CAPA, RCA, and audit processes
- Experience with quality system documentation and regulatory compliance programs (BRC, SQF, ISO 22000, or similar)
- HACCP certification and/or degree in Dairy/Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred
- Strong data analysis, documentation, and communication skills

Pay: $25.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
We are looking for experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join our team in a busy foundry and heat-treating environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy industrial equipment to keep production running at peak efficiency.
Shift Options & Pay (including shift differentials):
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday (occasional weekends) – $25.00 – $38.00/hour
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday – $29.25 – $44.46/hour (includes 17% shift differential)
- 3rd Shift: Schedule may vary – $28.25 – $43.00/hour (includes 13% shift differential)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on foundry and heat-treating equipment including:
- Batch furnaces, box/chamber ovens, pit and belt furnaces
- Loading/unloading stations, parts washers/dryers, quench tanks
- Furnace rollers, atmosphere generators, burners, radiant tubes, control systems
- Cupola/reverberatory furnaces, crane-suspended ladles, and other molten metal handling systems
- Maintain material handling and auxiliary systems in a foundry setting
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and process diagrams
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform alignments, rigging, and component replacements as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following foundry safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred (foundry/heat-treating experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read schematics and perform precision alignments
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
